Veneer Plywood refers to thin slices of natural wood obtained through the use of a peeling machine. There are two types of veneer: core veneer and face veneer. The main distinction between core veneer and face veneer lies in their thickness and wood species. Core veneer is typically made from species like Acacia, Eucalyptus, Poplar, Rubber, Pine, with a thickness ranging from 1.7 to 2mm. Both sides of the core veneer have a rough texture. On the other hand, face veneer is crafted from special woods such as Birch, Oak, Maple, and is much thinner than core veneer, measuring around 0.25-0.3mm. The surface of face veneer is sanded meticulously, resulting in a visible wood grain pattern.

In Vietnam, many manufacturers specialize in producing core veneer due to the abundance of Acacia, Eucalyptus, and Rubber trees.

Plywood is manufactured using multiple layers of veneer. The dried veneer is bonded together with specialized glue and stacked, forming plywood with a minimum of three layers. Various types of plywood are produced, including film-faced plywood, commercial plywood, LVL plywood, packing plywood, and birch plywood.
