This helps to enhance the board's ability to withstand exposure to water, preventing swelling, warping, or deterioration that can occur with standard chipboard when exposed to moisture.

The waterproof Okal chipboard is composed of the following components:

1. Wood chips: Wood chips make up a significant proportion of the waterproof Okal chipboard, accounting for approximately 80%. These wood chips are produced from plantation forests and may include various types of wood such as eucalyptus, rubber, teak, as well as wood residues like corn husks, sawdust, and planer shavings.

2. Adhesive: The waterproof Okal chipboard typically uses moisture-resistant adhesives such as MUF (Melamine Urea Formaldehyde) glue or Phenolic resin. These adhesives improve the board's moisture resistance, enabling it to withstand wet environments without swelling or deformation.

3. Color indicator: Waterproof Okal chipboard is often added with a blue color indicator to easily distinguish and identify its moisture resistance capability.

The advantages and disadvantages of OKAL chipboard do not overcome water

2. Prone to chipping when cut: Due to its composition of wood chips, Okal chipboard is prone to chipping when cut, especially when using improper or incorrect cutting tools. This may present challenges and time-consuming work when handling Okal chipboard.

3. Limited suitability in wet environments: Although Okal chipboard exhibits good moisture resistance, it is not the optimal choice for highly wet environments. When exposed to water or high humidity, Okal chipboard can be affected and prone to damage, resulting in reduced durability and flatness of the product.

Methods of producing waterproof Okal chipboard:

The production process of waterproof Okal chipboard typically involves the following steps:

1. Wood selection: Carefully selected wood is debarked before being processed into small wood chips.

2. Drying: The wood chips undergo a drying process to achieve the required moisture content.

3. Sorting: The wood chips are sifted and sorted according to their size to create different types of chips.
